Hyder Husain Arastu

VP

VICE PRESIDENT

(806) 557 8196

A sophomore majoring in Political Science with a Minor in Philosophy, Hyder joined WVU when covid-19 was around it's peak which meant that he had absolutely none of the general first year experiences. Having gone through that he signed up to the International Student Organization hoping to bring it back from it's dormancy so that no other international students have to go through the experience he was forced to go through.

Personally, I didn't have the best experience and found myself pretty alienated my first semester at WVU, and that is really the foundation of why I want to be a part of the ISO- I simply do not want anyone else to be coming to a foreign country and not have anyone to be able to relate to.

I hope that during my time serving as Vice President of the International Student organization, I will be able to bring it back from the dead and perhaps restore it to what can only be called it's "former glory".

If you have any ideas or suggestions about this- please do contact me and I will do my best to help you out. :)
